Mae Nak (Her name is Nak, and Mae means "Mother" - to reaspect her. // some people call her Nang Nak - Nang = Mrs.)

She is one of the most dangerous and respectful ghost in Thailand...also the most popular one, since people believe that she was real, about 100 years ago.

Thai people remember her from being a female ghost who died during childbirth and her true love. After she died, she still waited for her husband who went to war. After he came back, he found out that his family was "alive" due to her spell. -- actually she also killed everyone who tried to tell her husband the truth that she and her son died. Or anyone who tried to take him from her.

Eventually, her husband knew the truth and left her...her wrath killed almost all villangers...but in the end she decided to leave...after a monk told her that she would meet her husband in next life, and in this life she should let her husband normally live - ghost cannot be with human.
